The Bangor Area Homeless Shelter is a facility open 365 days/ yr providing overnight shelter, a day program open 8am- 4pm and a winter Warming Center open from 6:30pm to 6am from November 10th to April1st. Each night a meal is served for dinner for those staying in the homeless center.

Manna Ministries - 126 Union street, Bangor, Me. 207-852-5635 (in partnership with the Brick church)
The facilities at Manna Ministries are used for, but are not limited to, a soup kitchen, a food pantry, a food bank, outpatient services, teaching job search skills in conjunction with finding jobs, and other programs, such as support meetings for alcoholics and addicts. Our soup kitchen provides an evening meal five days a week. Every Friday morning we have an open breakfast. There are no restrictions on access to various programs provided by the facilities. Manna operates a food pantry where families and individuals may come once a week on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday to receive a bag of groceries, which should last three to four days. The only stipulation that is required from the client is need. During the winter months we operate a warming center during the day and housing overnight for those in need.
